Get to know our Industrial Division Director Ms. Sonia Sauri through these curious facts…
Question (Q): How long have you been working at Tecam?
Answer (A): I started in May 2020, at the height of the pandemic. Almost 2 years and a half now.
Q: When you were little, what did you want to become when you grew up?
A: A lawyer. I was obsessed for several years – the influence of the Perry Mason series.
Q: How would you describe your perfect holidays?
A: My perfect holidays would be to enjoy a trip to discover new places, and then a week of relax doing nothing at my family’s home town.
Q: Where would you like to travel when the Covid pandemic is finally over?
A: Canada would be great.
Q: Do you practice any sports?
A: Yes, on a weekly basis I do Pilates and cardio exercises. And now I’ve started with Yoga practice.
Q: Do you have a favourite sports team or player?
A: I do not follow sports so much, but I do appreciate a lot the spirit of Rafa Nadal.
Q: Which music style or bands do you like listening to?
A: I love music. It is a must at home – it is always on. I like alternative music a lot, and also indie, flamenco, fados, etc. I am listening to the latest album of León Benavente currently – I identify with his lyrics very much.
Q: If you could change something in the world, what would you change?
A: I would get rid of shopping centres and I would make it compulsory to pay for getting rid of things that are still in good shape. I think it would be the only way to reduce consumption and non-sustainable overproduction.
Q: What do you do to reduce your environmental footprint?
A: At home we separate trash to recycle, we reduce the use of plastics and we use everything as long as we can (appliances, furniture, clothes)
Q: Do you prefer to plan or to improvise?
A: I like having a structured life, and likewise at work, so that I can improvise any time that is needed.
Q: Would you travel to the past or to the future?
A: I had not considered it yet really, but I love science fiction, so I guess I’d travel to the future.
Q: What are the Tecam values you most identify with? Commitment, honesty and a vision for the future.
Q: What is the emoji you use the most?
A: The smiley face.
Q: What super power would you choose?
A: Extending time to being able to do more things. I’d like to have the “Time-Turned” that Hermione had in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Q: What is the latest series/movie you have seen?
A: I’m currently watching “Start Trek: Picard”
Q: What has made an impact on you the most on a personal level this past 2 years of Covid pandemics?
A: The fact that the human being can adapt to any situation, but at the same time have short-time memory, which results in us stepping on the same stone over and over again.
